Terms of use
Terms of use
These terms govern use of Blank Labs websites, products and workspaces. By creating an account, starting a subscription or using the software, you agree to them.
Effective 11 October 2026
Who these terms apply to
Blank Labs (Pty) Ltd (“Blank Labs”, “we”, “us”) provides intelligent operational software for organisations. These terms apply to the public website, customer accounts, company workspaces and the products available through those workspaces.
If you use Blank Labs on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company. The company is responsible for everyone it invites into its workspace.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account and company details and keep them current. You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
A workspace belongs to a company. The owner and administrators control who is invited, what they can access, and when access is removed.
Company workspaces and users
Each company workspace is limited to a maximum of 10 users. Deactivated users do not count toward that limit. Attempting to exceed the limit, share logins, or otherwise circumvent the seat cap is not permitted.
Subscriptions and billing
Blank Labs products are sold as software-as-a-service subscriptions. Core packages and monthly add-ons are billed monthly. Where a price is stated, it is exclusive of applicable tax unless we say otherwise.
Payment is completed through Paddle. Paddle collects and processes payment details. Blank Labs does not store card numbers, expiry dates or CVV.
An active subscription, or other access we expressly grant, is required to use Blank Labs products. Product access follows the entitlements recorded for the workspace.
Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future automatic renewal. Access continues until the end of the already-paid billing period. Cancellation does not erase company data immediately; we may retain records as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You may use Blank Labs only for lawful business purposes and only with data you are entitled to process. You must not:
- attempt to access another organisation’s workspace or data;
- interfere with the security, availability or integrity of the service;
- upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content;
- use the software to send spam or to circumvent another party’s access controls;
- reverse engineer, resell or misrepresent the products as your own.
Intellectual property
Blank Labs retains all rights in its software, websites, designs, documentation and trademarks. Your organisation retains rights in the content and files it uploads. You grant Blank Labs a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to provide the service.
You may not copy, modify or distribute the software except as the service itself allows.
Service availability
We work to keep Blank Labs available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hosting incidents, third-party outages and events beyond our reasonable control can affect access. Features, integrations and technical components may change as the platform develops, but we will not intentionally remove paid access during an active paid subscription period without an appropriate commercial or legal basis.
Suspension
We may suspend or restrict an account or workspace if fees are unpaid, if these terms are breached, if we reasonably believe the service is being abused, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practical, we will notify the workspace owner at the email on the account. Suspension for breach, misuse or unpaid fees is separate from ordinary subscription cancellation. Ordinary cancellation of a subscription is governed by the Cancellation section above and does not, by itself, amount to suspension for breach.
Liability
Blank Labs is provided for operational use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability arising from the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the subscription fees paid for the Blank Labs service during that period.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms as our products, legal obligations and commercial arrangements develop. The effective date above will change when we do. Where a change is material, we may provide notice through the service, the account email or another reasonable method. Continued use after an updated version takes effect is subject to the revised terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent or provides rights that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes relating to these terms or the Blank Labs service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
